Money is the Root of All Evil!

“Money is the root of all evil’, I used to hear being quoted by adults frequently during my childhood. Later on I realised that these same adults were all broke. It is very easy to take content out of context. The origins of this quote is from the Bible (Timothy, 6:1). Here is how the King James Bible states it:

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

You’ve heard of Chinese whispers? So, by the time this quote reached the psyche of the masses, money became synonymous with evil. This is not helped when certain segments of the religious community associate virtue with poverty and evil with affluence.

Despite all the knowledge, wisdom and technological advances humanity has made in the past two millennia, the association of money with evil is deeply embedded in the psyche of the masses. Since 95-97% of human behaviour is driven by the subconscious and unconscious programming, the majority of people on the planet remain financially broke or near broke. This applies as much to people living in the developed world as well as the poorer countries.

Here’s where I see a big challenge ahead of us. Humanity needs healing. There are hundreds of thousands of people with the gift to heal others. Due to money being treated as a ‘dirty word’, most never realise their potential to heal simply because at a deep level, they do not believe they deserve to be rewarded financially. Therefore, they remain broke and those in need of their help never receive any support.

There is no other way to say this except that going to your grave with your music still in you is a truly selfish act. Healers…it is time to heal yourself!!!

There are two steps involved in the healing of one’s own money karma.

  • Step One: Understand
  • Step Two: Take action

Most people are too busy fighting the symptoms of their poverty, that they never take time to understand the cause of their financial suffering. Then, there are those who are far too busy analysing their suffering that they never take the action to change their situation.

In the book, Shattering the Grandest Illusions, I present the case for money being one of the greatest illusions to afflict humankind. Here’s the deal. We are living in a matrix of illusions. The only way you can transcend an illusion is to accept it, love it and work with it until you become its master. Not the other way round.

One of the greatest hopes for humanity now is the truly amazing work carried out by holistic professionals who are healing our people and our planet. They include experts from the diverse range of therapies, healing, coaching, mentoring, alternative, integrative and holistic medicine, therapeutic massage, acupuncture, yoga and so much more.

In their desire to make a difference with their innate given, however, many such professionals undervalue their worth and work very hard to make ends meet. Too many have a strong resistance to charging nearly enough for the great work they do. Others just have no idea how much to charge that is fair, right and mutually beneficial.

In this video, I combine my experience as an entrepreneur since 1982 and as a spiritual mentor to share some quick and easy ways to determine how much can be charged to clients and customers that is fair for them and profitable for the provider. Check out the video right here…

My first book, Shattering the Grandest Illusions, created quite a stir. One of the people who quizzed me about the motivation behind the book and its message was Tom Evans of The Bookwright. Please click the link below to listen to this 20 minutes interview.
Some of the issues we talk about include the illusion of money, manipulation by illusionists, consumerism, propaganda/marketing, the new societal disease, consequences of staying survival mode, meditation and more..
Love and gratitude,
Harun
